I’m Dirk Voortmans, a 39-year-old aviation enthusiast who served in the Belgian Air Force for two decades. My passion for aviation began at the tender age of 6, when I was going to airshows with my dad. From that moment on, I was hooked, and my fascination with both aviation and photography has only grown stronger over the years.

My 20 years in the Air Force provided me with a unique perspective on aviation that has deeply influenced my photography. I’ve been fortunate enough to witness the sheer power, precision, and elegance of aircraft from all over the world. 

My camera has become an extension of my passion for aviation, and through my lens, I aim to share the awe-inspiring beauty and artistry of flight with the world. Whether it’s the graceful lines of a vintage aircraft, the exhilarating acrobatics of a fighter jet, or the silent serenity of a glider soaring through the clouds, my photography seeks to convey the essence of aviation in all its glory.
